About this artistRahul is a nerdy funny guy. Would be a very good friend of me if I would have lived in Manipal. India. Rahul is not just exploring his creativity in one genre. Thinks outside of that box and loves to generate sounds from really anything. I can describe his sound-cloud channel as very experimental and catchy at the same time. The quality of his work and especially his guitar technique are very high. Rahul is not just messing around a bit, though he let you feel like he is sometimes. That's just his laid-back character. Besides the music Rahul is also a journalist and has written about us on Manipalthetalk.net which is a great platform for anything happening around Manipal. Thanks for your love and support.
A couple of questionsName of your artistic activity:

I've been in many bands, the one I'm currently in doesn't really have a name or a photo yet. My earlier band was called Shenanigans. It was a fun band that played Megadeth and Nirvana covers for the heck of it. I've attached a picture below!

Where are you passionate about?

I'm passionate about a LOT of things. I grew up learning pretty much everything I could. Music has always been an integral part of my life. I've been singing before I can remember talking. Started playing the harmonium (an Indian classical instrument) and keyboards at the age of 5 (or so I'm told). Experimented with a lot of instruments until I picked up the guitar in 2006. It just fascinated me like none other I'd ever played before. The fluidity with which I was able to express myself through the guitar was unparalleled. Needless to stay, I got hooked. Still am.

Apart from music, I love reading, writing, playing video games and sports like cricket, football, tennis, table tennis, squash, etc. I used to paint at one point, but I just got way too busy pursuing my other endeavours to ever devote any time to it, sadly.

What are the fruits of your passion?

Fruits of my passion? It'd be artistic expression,I'd imagine. Nothing quite gets me as excited as hearing something I'd like to one day be able to play, and getting to the point where I can indeed play it. This extends to daily life too. I do have quite high hopes for the future, and I imagine the day I achieve it, it'd feel like it does when I finally nail a really complicated musical piece. Anything's worth pursuing that feeling.

Who are you inspired by?

Inspiration - A little unconventional, but Gabe Newell (CEO of Valve). Also, Devin Townsend. And James Hetfield. And Jason Becker. And Acle Kahney. You know what, just list down pretty much everyone in the new wave progressive metal scene here.

Most amazing artistic experience:

Super conventional : The Megadeth concert in Mumbai. I had no idea I was such a big fan until I saw them live.

How did you experience our recording and where was it?

My experience with you guys - I'll tell you this; this semester was a pretty damn eventful one for me and I loved every bit of it.But the 3 days I spent with y'all was easily the most fun I had in ages. You're honestly among the most chilled out folks I've ever met, and I freaking love your project.

Where can people find you?

Everywhere. Just hit me up on facebook and I'll gladly get right back to you!

If you could do one wish for your passionfruit-tree (career) to grow faster, what would it be:

Oh,boy. One wish? T quit procrastinating, I guess. Haha.

Anything else?

Finally, thank you guys for doing this, again. I'll be writing about you too very soon, as soon asmanipalthetalk.net is up and running! Also, I see why you named this "Passionfruit". Very poetic. :D
