Axel la courte
About this artistAxel is an alternative gypsy rock guitarist. He seem to live life very easy and open minded. Everything in him expresses rock and roll. As if he wants to say "don't get stuck in a machine, system or idea" just have fun and enjoy the time we are here. Don't forget to play around, you live once. This is just my impression. This is what he reminded me off. His guitar play is very suprising and full of that "I don't give a ****" energy. It's in perfect balance with his technique and creativity. Jamming with guys like Axel is definitely a privilege.
A couple of questionsName of your artistic activity?
I have a band called "Connard". It mean "Jerk" or "Asshole" in french. This is a kind of gipsy-blues-progressive-rock. Only instrumental and original. We are 3, playing guitars, bass, drum, piano, ukulele, charango, slide guitar, home made cigar-box guitar, and other stranges things! I also play solo sometimes with my name "La Courte", more gipsy-blues, and acoustic.

Where are you passionate about?
I am passionate by music of course, traveling, meeting people and making strange music instruments.

What are the fruits of that passion?
We are playing music to become very rich, famous, to have a lot of girlfriends and to eat better food that we have here. In case of this is not working, we also love to play music, maybe to change some mind. Hopefully. Or if nobody is interested, I love to play for myself.

Who are you inspired by?
I am inspired by...alcohol, holy plants, sadness, stupidity, and animals sometimes... Or by a LOT of musicians, but they are too many!

What is your most amazing artistic experience?

My most amazing artistic experience? Oh, it was illegal so... But maybe...meet the Passion Fruit! It was in Hampi (India), recorded in a perfect "jugaad style" (some people will understand..!).

Where can people find you?
I am living in the middle of nowhere, also in France.

If you could do one wish for your passionfruit-tree (career) to grow faster, what would it be?
If I can do anything for my career grow faster, hum... let me play out of France, please!!! Anywhere!!!

Anything else?
But anyway, keep on playing music all around the world everybody!
